PressFriendly launched in 2013 (TechCrunch article) with a simple goal: to help startups navigate PR.

Our Mission

For the last eight years, we've operated from the premise that many startups view public relations as too expensive or too difficult an endeavor to undertake. This was probably true, so we set out to change that. When we launched in 2013  we were a self-directed software platform to help startups build and manage their own PR activities (think MailChimp for PR), but since then we've evolved our services to create the best possible PR outcomes for startups.

Our Evolution

We were disappointed with the success rate of initial software product at launch. As we improved the software we expected to see marked gains, but they never materialized. It was only after we focused on doing more advising did we start to see the types of results we wanted to. It became clear to us that the more advising we did, the more successful the campaign.

So today, we're a virtual PR agency built upon a software backbone. We're still a startup focused on getting PR results and we now sell the software (Protypical) to some of the world's top PR agencies.

Our Philosophy

As a virtual PR team that's focused on startups we have two core tenets: results and transparency

Results

For startups, there's no success without coverage. As a result, we're singularly focused on getting coverage that will directly impact your business, whether your goal is customer acquisition, thought leadership or fundraising.

Transparency

Public relations is not black magic. We're great at what we do and we're willing to share our methods and strategy. We want your input and we walk you though every step of the project and our progress. With our PitchFriendly software, we give you full access into outreach efforts to see the status of your campaign.
